Engineer - Mechanical or Aeronautical at CSafe, LLC, Dayton, OH
CSafe, a leading provider of temperature controlled air cargo equipment and owned as a joint-venture by two market leaders, is searching for an Engineer with a degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
CSafe manufactures and markets the AcuTemp RKN used for the shipment of high value temperature sensitive cargo. It serves an emerging market and has a unique product line with the potential to grow briskly as a market leader.
We are a dynamic company with an engineer opening. The Engineer will be providing certification support to allow the timely introduction of new FAA regulatory type products and maintenance of existing product lines.
Key responsibilities are as followed:
- Identify FAA regulatory test requirements, write test plans, witness testing and document preparation.
- Plan, track and implement certification activities based on tasks and milestone schedule to ensure on-time & on-cost completion of projects.
- Maintain product design data, documentation and BOM’s including day-to-day oversight of Engineering Change requests, Orders, Notices and BOM entry, etc.
- Assist when needed the development or change of procedures, policies, and work practices related to the design, manufacturing and engineering of products.
- Apply rigorous design and engineering standards to facilitate 100% design integrity in accordance with FAA regulations for airborne equipment.
- May perform structural calculations and reliability analysis associated with product regulatory certification.
- Provide regulatory and certification support to the internal sales team & customer support and external users such as commercial airlines.
- Compile technical supporting documents for both production of new products and the updating of in-service products.
Requirements are as followed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
- 1 to 3 years relevant experience with a regulatory type product design and development environment (preferably Aerospace).
- Ability to read and comprehend regulation, engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
- Experience in a design or regulatory work environment preferable.
- Knowledge of and experience with aerospace regulatory testing or certification of aerospace type equipment would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of FAA regulatory type requirements and practices would be preferred.
- Knowledge of design department best practices along with ability to develop and implement design systems in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Must possess analytical thinking and reasoning skills.
- Must be thorough and exercise attention to detail.
- Must be able to set and maintain schedules.
- Ability to manage constantly changing workload while meeting deadlines.
- Professional demeanor, tact, diplomacy and ability to maintain good relationships with internal/external customers under stressful conditions.
- Organizational skills; able to balance multiple priorities.
- Strong team player.
- Possess a valid passport or obtain one within 90 days of employment.
