Engineer-Mechanical at Aerotek, Fairfield, OH
Job Classification: ContractThis company makes industrial fans for motors that power large equipment, like ships for the military and other applications. They are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer that specializes in FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to work directly under the VP of Engineering in their Cincinnati location. This person will be working on the Research and Development side of the business, working on mostly existing products rather than developing new ones. The FEA Engineer will also be supervising and responsible for a small team of designers. On a day to day basis this person will be working on new designs for existing products. Right now they are focusing on traction (locomotives). They will need to interface with the lab and the product testing group as well as some customer contact and sales. This will require very little "board work" (designing with SolidWorks), but they may need to do some drawing from time to time. MUSTS: - Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering (Master's preferred) - 5 - 8 years experience in Manufacturing and Sheet Metal with Engineering role - Strong FEA experience - Supervisory experience (being responsible for others rather than directing others) BONUSES: - Master's Degree - SolidWorks experience - Experience in Research and Development - Experience in industrial fan industry
