Performs a variety of engineering activities relating to analysis, design, and/or test of aviation systems. Plans and conducts research, development, or installation systems in conformance with engineering design and customer specification. May attend design reviews, requirement analysis reviews and other meetings in support of senior engineers and customer.May be responsible for preparing reports. Performs other duties as assigned.
This is a lower to mid-level position. Looking for a candiate that has 2 to 4 years of engineering experience and that is familiar with JPALS and heads-up displays.Requires Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience.Additional QualificationsQualified candidates for this position will possess:
• Bachelor of science in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical engineering
• 2-4 years experience with defining requirements, developing systems, certification of systems
• Experience with some or all of the following systems is highly desired:
- Global Positioning Systems (GPS)
- Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS)
- Local Area Augmentation System (LAAS)
- Navy JPALS (Joint Precision Aircraft Landing System)is highly desireable
- Familiarity with FAA
• Candidates must have a current clearance
