DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under general direction will source, identify, recruit and pre-screen various levels of professional, technical and non-technical candidates to meet business objectives by developing a comprehensive recruiting and sourcing strategy. Exercises judgment throughout the recruiting processes, develops new sourcing strategies and techniques to ensure the operational effectiveness in meeting recruiting goals and objectives. Responds to inquiries, identifies issues, and guides the development of solutions to complex and diverse challenges concerning candidates, employees and hiring managers, which may require tact and discretion in handling. Maintain and update applicant tracking system. May support/oversee multiply business units within the company. May conduct pre-employment processing, (i.e. drug screens, reference checks and past employment verifications). Sets up interview schedules, processes job shopper information and requests, coordinates relocation efforts, community outreach, coordinating advertising, college interviews and other special events related to recruiting as required. May assist managers with terminations and may assist Employee Relations department with employee issues. Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related discipline and three or more years of progressive professional experience in a Human Resources department. May substitute a certificate in human resources from a recognized organization and/or equivalent experience in lieu of education. Must have a general knowledge of human resource principles, theories and concepts and a general understanding of practices, techniques, and standards. Must be customer focused and possess: (1) the ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity; (2) excellent verbal and written communications and presentations skills to accurately document and report findings to a variety of audiences; (3) excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide employees, managers and external parties; (4) the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information; and, (5) excellent computer skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Experience recruiting for a variety of positions both exempt and non-exempt. Also experience recruiting for manufacturing, engineering (mechanical, electrical, and software) and other technically related positions in a defense / aerospace environment.work experience in both agency and corporate environment (with a preference towards working in a corporate environment). Experience with online applicant tracking system.
