KR611-12291DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position reports to the Avionics Manufacturing Director and is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and managing of the manufacturing operation(s) to achieve objectives. Must have experience in electronic defense industry environment. Must have hands-on experience in PWA assembly, cable assembly, and test; and must also be able to manage teams in multiple shifts. Must have strong computer skills (MRP and Microsoft Office.) Will act as the primary contact for manufacturing activities and leads progress planning and review sessions to discuss costs, schedule, and technical performance. Monitors all operations for regulatory and safety compliance. Plan and coordinate production operations, including facilities layout, training, engineering design, supply chain activities, production sequences, and test and quality assurance. Identify manufacturing issues and provides leadership in developing solutions such as re-allocation of resources or modifying manufacturing or supply chain processes. Must have experience in implementing and managing LEAN teams. Participate in the development and implements annual and long-term technical, schedule, quality, business, and financial objectives and participates in the development of overall unit/Division/Group annual and long-term objectives. Participate in contract negotiations and contract modifications. Participate in the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract(s). Direct and actively participates in the staff planning to include: attraction, assessment, selection, hiring, retention, and employee development of human resources to ensure the availability of the required management, professional, and technical talent. Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to establish and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related discipline and six or more years of progressively more complex experience in a manufacturing environment as well as seven or more years of experience managing a manufacturing operation. Additional equivalent manufacturing experience may be substituted in lieu of education. Must have a detailed and comprehensive understanding of the principles, concepts, theories, and practices of manufacturing operations, in particular the operation to be overseen; extensive experience demonstrating a broad application of those practices, techniques, and standards; as well as comprehensive project management and leadership skills, including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones. Must posses the ability to resolve unusually complex management and technical problems; and serve as spokesperson. Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives. Customer focused, must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment, and able to work extended hours and travel as required.
